Trogir is a historic town and harbour on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, set on a small island between the mainland and the island of Čiovo. With its regular street plan, Romanesque and Gothic churches and palaces, its old centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved towns of its kind in Europe.
These photos show Trogir both as it is today — lively, sun-soaked and full of life — and as it once was, in archive images that capture the town across earlier decades.
